The Martian

  • Stirchley Open Cinema 2-4 Bournville Lane Birmingham, England, B30 2JT United Kingdom (map)

“I’m going to have to science the shit out of this.”
— Mark Watney

Hopefully we’re saying goodbye to winter and are heading towards summer, longer evenings and of course summer blockbuster films!

To tie in with author, Andy Weir's, most recent adapted book, Project Hail Mary, we go back to the OG, The Martian.

What do you do when you’re stranded alone on Mars with limited food, with no way to call home, and a planet actively trying to kill you? If you’re astronaut Mark Watney, you grow potatoes, do a lot of science, and refuse to panic. In The Martian, Matt Damon delivers a brilliantly funny and uplifting performance as the most resourceful man on Mars. Ridley Scott crafts a smart, funny, suspenseful adventure about ingenuity, teamwork, and having that never giving up attitude—even when you’re 140 million miles from home.
